 YOGA, A BASIC BALANCE

Starting Date: Tuesday, 24th January, 2012

Level: Beginners and general students
VENUE: Beyond the Ordinary, Level 1/314 Darling Street, Balmain
This is a basic 10 week yoga course.  It is designed for beginners and experienced students.  It will teach  basic body balancing movements and will concentrate on developing relaxed, co-ordinated and rhythmic movements.  Basic back care will be taught.  It is recommended that any new student familiarise themselves with these simple movements and stretches before attending the first class. BEGINNERS FLYING WARRIOR YOGA
Starting date: Wednesday 25th January 2012

Level: Beginners
VENUE: Beyond the Ordinary, Level 1/314 Darling Street, Balmain
This is a 10 week beginner's course. This is a basic yoga course in which we will cover the protective use of Bandahs (muscular, energy locks) they are both strengthening and protective, the rhythmic use of your breath and coordinated movement.  Warm ups and Kriyas (basic cleansing techniques), and an introduction to vinyasana, individual practices and yoga nidra (relaxation)

HATHA YOGA, PILATES, "AS I LIVE I BREATHE"

Starting date: Thursday, 26th January 2012
9:30pm Thursday
Level: Beginners and general students
VENUE: Beyond the Ordinary, Level 1/ 314 Darling Street, Balmain

This is an enjoyable and informative 10 week course. Remedial corrections and exercises, dynamic strengthening sequences and breathing to expand your awareness and regulate your emotionalism will be taught. You will dance better, be more pain free and really enjoy your body.

All levels of experience of yoga are welcome. Each movement and movement sequence is taught at three different levels, The warm up, the moderately hard movement and an advanced level may be introduced if you are able to execute the first two levels.

 


TAOIST YOGA DANCING AND FLYING WARRIOR SERIES

Starting date: Tuesday, 18th October and Thursday, 20th October 2011

This is a course for the  advanced student of movement, dance and sport enthusiast. The course will focus on leg strength through vigorous physical (vinyasa) movements repeated in a new dynamic sequence. A dynamic sequence  will be taught to challenge your body and breath. The course will introduce core seats (asanas), breathing (pranayama) and arm movements (mudras). The course will concentrate on cultivating a rhythmic, graceful and transformative yoga practices.  Inversions and their preparations will also be introduced to you as part of the concentration and meditation practices of Hatha Yoga.

The Flying Warrior Yoga Series is a sequence designed to increase integrated movement, co-ordination and leg strength.

 The Dancing Warrior Yoga Series is a corrective sequence detailing and enhancing graceful movement.  You will re-learn in walk and move generally in a light and poised way.  the teachings will influence every aspect of your life, how you sit, how you eat, especially how you feel.

Class size limited are limited. You will be given individual practices.

YOGA BOOT CAMP

Starting date:  Monday 6th February 2012
Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6:30am for 3 weeks
VENUE: Beyond the Ordinary, Level 1/314 Darling Street, Balmain

If you are serious about losing weight, toning your body, balancing your posture, getting fit and healthy and generally reinventing yourself consider the yoga boot camp.

If you are interested in this 3 week program early February let me know as numbers will be limited.

Cost: $150.00

Monday: a rhythmic and structural correction yoga workout
Wednesday: a torso mobilization class using an exercise ball
Friday: a stretch and strengthen class using the precepts of the Flying Warrior Yoga techniques. I encourage my students from other classes to attend this class as a perfect way to end a working week
